First official photographs of 2013 Lexus IS

The first official photographs of the next generation 2013 Lexus IS have just been released ahead of the car‘s unveiling at the Detroit motor show.

A press release received from Lexus today says that "Powerful and elegant exterior references Lexus’s LF-CC concept car". This is the inspiration for what seems to be a cleaner cabin design and the luxury arm of Toyota has also promised a "sportier driving position".

Dimensions-wise, there'll be an increased wheelbase and width to increase cabin space and luggage capacity. The IS F Sport models will have exclusive body styling, interior trims and sports seats
No figures or pricing have been released yet - Lexus is keeping them under wraps until the IS‘s public unveiling on 15 January at Detroit.
