KIA reveals hints at new rear-wheel drive saloon

Kia revealed taster sketches today of what is likely to be its next flagship saloon. This morning's press release from the Korean car builder described the design study as one that would "establish new standards for design flair in the large sedan (saloon) segment".
Given the project name "KH", the new model is Kia‘s first ever rear-wheel drive saloon and is promised to "combine innovative design with high-tech features". This is not just a study, there are plans to launch the car in the company's domestic market in the first half of this year, however there are none to introduce it into Europe.

Over the past five years, KIA has rapidly become one of the most challenging brands to enter the global market, pumping millions into development and creating some extremely competitive cars. Its pricing and quality have caught many established manufacturers on the hop, helped in no small part by the financial downturn.
Its car design is now maturing and offering distinction, as consumers universally forget their brand snobbery. Maybe the time is right to take on the prestige badges?

Kia's Soon-Nam Lee explains: “Our all-new flagship sedan integrates all of our key capabilities such as design, performance, high-tech features and infotainment into one striking model. Although launch timings for those overseas markets it will go to are yet to be confirmed, this all-new rear-wheel drive large sedan will definitely become the leading model of our global line-up, showcasing the best of the best of Kia.”
