Aston Martin V12 Zagato. It's coming - fast.

Aston Martin has confirmed that the V12 Zagato road car is going into production later this year, albeit in very limited numbers. Described as the pinnacle of the Vantage range, designers have drawn inspiration from the famous DB4GT Zagato and will be limited to a prodution run of 150 units.
Aston says that the new car has integrated materials, processes and technology used in One-77, itself limited to just 177 units.
Boss, Dr Ulrich Bez described the Zagato as: “a celebration of both Aston Martin’s heritage and its future. Our relationship with Zagato stretches back more than 50 years. Together in that time we have created a series of very special cars. The first – the DB4GT Zagato – is a true icon: fast, beautiful and incredibly desirable. In the V12 Zagato I believe we have captured the spirit of that car and combined it with a confident twist of modernity to give it a character all of its own.”
Initial design studies were explored in early 2010. Inspired by Zagato’s individual styling signatures, design chief Marek Reichman and his team set out to create a car that would push the boundaries of modern design whilst paying tribute to the DB4GT Zagato. They succeeded in building two concept cars by Spring of last year.
The prototypes have already proved their worth on the track: May 2011 saw the V12 Zagato make its world debut at the Villa d‘Este concours, entered in the Concept Cars and Prototypes class, taking first place. In June, both prototypes entered and completed the 24 hour endurance race at the Nürburgring.
Each car is reported to take 2,000 hours to finish, is hand-crafted from aluminium and carbon fibre and finished in a choice of four colours: Scintilla Silver, Alloro Green, Alba Blue and Diavolo Red.
The V12 Zagato is available to order now, priced at £330,000 (less tax) and the production specification car will be revealed at Geneva next month.
